Lack of book writing app for Android is frustrating.

It’s like I have been waiting forever for somebody to create a book writing app for Android.

For years, I have been googling to check out if there is any news about release of Scrivener or Ulysses for Android. All I get is comments made by people wanting the same thing as I do and answers by developers that they have no plan to release Android version or they are considering the possibility.

It baffles me. There must be writers who use Android phones. There must be a market, though it might be smaller than the lucrative market of Apple app store. Then, how come nobody is creating a real book writing app like Scrivener or Ulysses for Android?

When I say “book writing app,” I mean an app that can make separate documents and show them as connected texts and export selected documents as a single txt or pdf file. Ulysses for iOS does that and Scrivener for iOS must have the same feature, I guess, if they did a decent job.

This lack of book writing app on Android platform is really annoying. When I was using iPhone, I was literally able to write a book wherever I go using Ulysses. Nowadays, I have to drag my notebook computer everywhere to use Scrivener.

If any of you, a good Android developer, are reading this, please give it a thought. I am not sure if this market is as big as that for IOS. But there must be lots of people like me out there. Please make a book writing app for Android and take my money.

If you build it, they will come or at least I will come:)
