StyleEase – academic writing software review

Writing an academic paper needs something more than just typing your content on a screen. Depending on what types of institutions you submit the paper to, you should follow the required format.

StyleEase is an academic writing software that supports formats for APA, MLA, and Chicago-style academic papers. It automatically formats your academic papers in one of the above styles.

You need Microsoft Word software to use SytleEase. Once installed, StyleEase automatically formats your paper in specific styles.

In January 2011, Mac OS version became newly available in addition to existing MS Windows version.

A single copy of StyleEase does not cover all the styles. You should buy separate version for the style you write for.

Prices of each version are as follows.

1. PC

StyleEase for APA-style ($35)
StyleEase for MLA-style ($35)
StyleEase for Chicago style ($35)

* Microsoft Word 2000, 2003, XP, 2007 or Word 2010 is required.

Now if you have some experience with academic writing, you may definitely know what APA, MLA or Chicago style means. For people, including me, who do not know what they are, I add brief descriptions of each style below.

APA Style
American Psychological Association (APA) Style is a set of rules that authors must use when submitting papers for publications in APS journals.

MLA Style
It is an academic style guide widely used in the United States, Canada, and other countries, providing guidelines for writing and documentation of research in the humanities, especially in English studies

Chicago Style
The Chicago Manual of Style is used in some social science publications and most historical journals
